Art and Gardening Sessions Week 2: Cutlery Wind Chimes and Carrot Wellies

Art and gardening sessions came into the second week of the summer holidays today with full force. Today we were making wind chime bird-scarers out of cutlery and wire to keep the birds away from our new carrot seeds planted in wellington boots.

After last week's session where the hose got slightly out of hand Kathleen and I decided to buy some mini watering cans for the children which also went down a treat. We hung our bird scarers up and then gave the garden and our carrot seeds a thoroughly good water. The children were brilliant and taught each other how to plant the seeds and carefully checked up on their salad, still going strong from last week.
